Irene Tan is the artist | illustrator behind the label Missy Minzy. This is the place where she gets to showcase what she loves creating and that makes her happy!

She has more than 20 years of professional working experience in various industries from graphic designer, packaging designer as well as advertising designer..and now illustrator with a heartbeat.

Irene has a big love to create things which make people smile. She kickstarted her illustration career behind the label - Missy Minzy 11 years ago. Magical Mushrooms and Minzy Girl were some of her earlier work.

All of her illustrations were typically hand drawn. She likes to work on her illustration digitally. Some day, she chose to use the traditional media such as watercolour or designer gouache on her work. She likes to enhance the details of her work by adding some textures or surface pattern design onto her work. Her style and design are always changing, whatever inspires her really.

Being able to create during the multi-tasking commitment bringing up her children are important for her as it keeps her sane and most of all, happy!! After all, life is but a dream 🙂

One of the highlights since owning Missy Minzy has to be Irene's recent submission artwork had made it to the Lilla Rogers Studio's Top 50 Semi-Finalists in the Global Talent Search August Year 2013 (one of the well known illustration agency representing artists internationally)!

She likes to see her brand continue growing. Going places where she can called it her own and be proud of the success.
